We make every attempt as a team to do our part in the community in making a difference in animals lives! Improving the lives and wellbeing of our pets starts with knowledge and we make it our goal to educate the public.  Dr. Wheaton has more recently been a regular in the OC Register with his dedication to the cause assisting local rescue groups and founding his own, The Pet Rescue Center that focuses on Rescuing Pets, Creating Families & Saving Lives! As a response to pet owners in our community suffering the effects of the economy Dr. Wheaton now offers Low Cost Vaccinations most of them starting at only $14 each and promotes pet owners being well informed and weary of over vaccinating their pets.   Click one of the links below to read an article featuring Us:

January 28, 2009: AZURE - Stab Victim Pit Bull Puppy - Original Story

Dr. Wheaton & Alicia Pet Care Center would like to thank you for the recent outpouring of love & concern for "Azure" the sweet 8 month old Pit Bull Puppy who came in to our full service animal hospital after surviving 7 stab wounds during a domestic dispute on Tuesday night (Jan 20, 2009).  We are overjoyed to report she is recovering very well from the surgeries done Wednesday to repair her internal injuries and had a long nite rest after a day filled with media interviews and continued treatments. We hope her celebrity will enable her to receive the donations necessary to continue her treatment and assure her happy and healthy future.  If you would like to make a tax deductible donation towards her medical bills you can send your donation to: The Pet Rescue Center, ATTN: Azure, 25800 Jeronimo Rd., Ste 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691. Please make checks payable to: The Pet Rescue Center. You can also donate online to The Pet Rescue Center via credit card or paypal: www.thepetrescuecenter.org

Here are links to some of news reports and articles that tell about Azure's horrific tale:
