"I LOVE this vet! After taking my dog to Banfield (which I DO NOT recommend) multiple times for allergies and getting zero results, I found Alicia Pet Care Center online. They were right down the street from my house so I figured I would give them a try. I could not be any happier! Dr. Northrop had many helpful tips to help stop my dog from itching and was able to give her the right meds to start her path to recovery immediately. My dog is 100x better in her attitude, itching and eating habits. I will definitely be back. I could not be any happier. Thank you so much to Dr. Northrop and all of the very kind staff!! I am so happy I found a permanent vet office."

"WORTH EVERY SINGLE RED STAR! +PLUS ONE MORE STAR

It has been 2 years since I moved to Seattle from Mission Viejo and I am still looking for a vet that comes close to Dr. Wheaton and his team. Every time I take my cats to a vet here in Seattle I wish that is was Dr. Wheaton we were seeing.

Alicia Pet Care is clean, smells nice, uses modern equipment, has a brilliant adoption palace and charges exactly what I expect to pay. From an operational perspective... they are a dream in the world of vet clinics. And Dr.Wheaton also posts excellent informational videos on their website. If I have a question, I will check there first before engaging on a grueling journey through the internet of possibly true and possibly not true advice.

I had three cats at the time, 19 years, 16 years, and 10 years. Literally out of the blue, my 16 year little old man developed a bump on his chin. We took him on a Saturday to a random vet (prior to my discovery of APCC). My service was about 2 stars and I left with no answers and eyes full of tears. I found APCC as a second opinion and knew that I didn't have to look further for another vet.

It turns out my little old man, Tori, had advance bone cancer of his jaw and potentially in his lungs.  Dr. Wheaton (having just put down his own dog) knew exactly what to say to make light of the situation. He gave me reasonable options that made sense. I wasn't ready to put Tori down and Dr. Wheaton knew that and understood, so he did his best to make Tori comfortable. In his final days, I took Tori to the office twice with the intentions of letting him go...and just couldn't do it. On both occasions, Dr. Wheaton stayed in the room with me, talking me through it and rationalizing the situation and what was best for Tori. I have no idea if he even had any other appointments on those days (I'm sure he did) because he made me feel like we were the only ones there.

Dr. Wheaton: If you ever read this, know how much you impacted me during one of the hardest days of my life. You are a truly gifted veterinarian and an honor to have been seen by. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and bedside manner. I wish my other two cats liked to travel because I would without question fly them down there for their office visits."

"Our pets have always been well attended to at Alicia Pet Care Center. The doctors at APCC treated our dogs both with medicines and alternative resources during their stay at the clinic. This wholistic approach to animal care is unique to APCC and the best path forward for our pets long term care."

Yelp

Having grown up in Illinois with 7 veterinarians in my family, I know the business and am very particular about veterinary care for my pets.  I feel blessed to have found Alicia Pet Care Center!  Max, my French Bulldog, has major allergy problems but Dr. Dewey has done an excellent job of treating him.  With medication and a change in food, he is symptom-free, happy and thriving! Dr. Dewey was also able to medically treat my other French Bulldog with a partial bowel obstruction, thus avoiding surgery. The entire staff is attentive and caring, and the facility is one of the cleanest and most organized I have seen in Orange County.

Yelp

My experience was consistent, start to finish, and then some.

There a few critical factors when selecting a new vet. Great flexibility in making room for a last minute appointment was a very nice start.

A warm welcome and a gunuine interest towards my pet's health through out our visit was stress free - this is important for comfort when leaving my furry family member behind.

Update calls on progress, as well as a checkup call post visit was another great touch - that effort pays off.

Price was quoted and billed consistently - thank you, thank you. Tough, because things do change with pet care , but a well run clinic allows for greater accuracy in treatment and appropriate billing. I only like surprises on my birthday...

The checkout and de-briefing for home care was thorough and I was asked if I had any questions. They clearly want success, not just return business.

If you're looking for a new vet, or perhaps a fresh look at a new experience in pet care, be sure to make an appointment.

"Extremely kind, knowledgable, and compassionate towards you and your pet. Dr. Wheaton is by far the best veterinarian I have ever been to. My dog Remus has had some back problems, and he took the time to explain all our treatment options and make my dog feel comfortable. I have been to numerous vets from growing up with pets throughout the years and this place is hands down the best in OC. I recommend them to all of my friends and family."

"My poor cat has been sick most of her 10 years. She has been to many doctors, none of which could figure out what was wrong with her. She'd get very sick 2-3 times a year, and we'd have no choice but to shell out more $$ for blood tests, only to end up with our fingers crossed that she'd get better on her own. Luckily she always did get better, but it rarely had anything to do with the doctors she saw. This last time around I ditched yet another ineffective doctor, only to find Alicia Pet Care Center. Within literally hours they had a real diagnosis, the first one my cat has ever had. She is now on her way to a real recovery and a future of being healthy. The doctors and technicians at Alicia Pet Care Center are awesome. They actually care, they know what they're doing, and they don't mind taking all the time in the world to talk about what's going on, what the options are, etc. I am totally sold. After all this time my cat finally has a great doctor!!"

Fantastic experience.  I had my dog neutered there and have had his teeth cleaned as well.  Following the neutering, the vet personally called me to explain the process and followed up the next day to see how my dog was doing.  Five star service.  Job well done!  You guys have earned a customer for life!

"These guys are amazing, you can really tell they're animal people. They're always friendly and cautious with my pets. They do a great job exploring and explaining all the options. They never forget a follow up call to spend time explaining test results or listening to any developments with your pets to give advice if you need to call. There have been several times where no follow up was necessary, but someone called just to check in and see how my pet was doing. Night and day compared to some vets at chain stores where they plug symptoms into a computer to diagnose your pet. They also help run a pet rescue that saves tons of cats and dogs from being euthanized and helps them get adopted. It's very refreshing to go to a vet that you genuinely believe cares about the well being of your pet. Like I said they're amazing people."

"My cats need special care when I board them and I would not board them anywhere else. I've been to many vets in Orange County over the years and Alicia Pet Care Center is the best...hands down. They are progressive, the facility is beautiful (immaculate and very peaceful), and the staff...can't say enough about the staff. A great vet is nothing without a great staff. They are awesome and I trust them implicitly. I especially appreciate how much Alicia Pet Care Center does for animals in need. True heroes over there."

"Since I have known Dr.Wheaton and that has been over 10 years. His Clinic has always sustained an astute Reputation. I believe APC has remained the top pet care clinic, because of his ethics and sincere love for all animals. He has accomplished many great endeavors and should be recognized for those qualities."

Yelp

We came to APCC after exhausting all efforts with our current vet. We have an English bulldog who itches and licks himself till he bleeds. Our usual vet had referred us elsewhere because they had tried every medication possible to help our boy. After doing some research and speaking with people in the community, we gave APCC a try. Finally, a vet that doesn't just say "your dog has allergies, here are some steroids, try this food and don't forget omega 3s." After a thorough exam (close to an hour), Dr. Wheaton suggested a course of treatment that has actually helped. It has been about 2 weeks and although our dog still itches every now and again, it is not with the same intensity or frequency. We decided to bring his sister in for a wellness exam with Dr. Wheaton since he was so good with our boy. When we got her, she had already had eye surgery and was basically blind. Over the past 4 1/2 years, her main issue has been her eyes. We have seen their regular vet countless times for eye irritation. In that time, no one has pointed out that she had entropion. Our old vet has thrown optimmune at us as the only option to fix her. After a thorough (also almost an hour, if not more) exam, Dr. Wheaton suggested anti-inflammatory meds to help with the irritation. After just 1 use, her eyes looked better.
My biggest regret is not bringing them here sooner. The relief they could have had for years is now just beginning. What my husband and I learned from this experience is that pet parents are only as knowledgeable as the vet they use. Dr. Wheaton was very knowledgeable, explained things clearly, didn't give the stupid simple answers that we have already tried and failed with and was great with our little monsters.
